My Favorite Turmeric Recipe: Golden Milk

Turmeric Tea Recipe Ingredients

Most people who know me, know that I am a bit infatuated with turmeric.

Sometimes it comes in the form of my mean curry recipe. Sometimes it is in the form of an IV of the medicinal extract, curcumin. Oh, sometimes I mix it with some ginger and steamed greens. Sometimes when my joints are really achy, I will take turmeric in pill form from Gaia Herbs.

But by far my favorite way to get turmeric in my body is a turmeric latte. Also known as Golden Milk.

Turmeric found its way into my heart for many reasons. Not the least of which is that research has shown that turmeric may actually be good for the heart. It may help to protect against some cancers. It has been shown to decrease pain in those of us with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

And, it makes my skin extra glow-y. Which is my favorite side effect.

There are some other some other potential side effects of turmeric which may not make it right for you. As with all health options, get an outside perspective from a trained professional healthcare provider. Invest a little in yourself and chat with an expert. It's your health, after all.
